Music Trendsetter [Chart 14 = October 22 - 28, 2011]

Good day to all! Welcome to the Music Trendsetter List. We are counting down the songs that are trending the airwaves across the globe for this week. We have four new entries in our chart, two from different boy bands, one from an emerging top girl group stars and one from the pop queen herself. Let's take a look the songs that entered in our charts this week:

Paradise by Coldplay. This is the second single from their upcoming fifth album entitled Mylo Xyloto. Paradise is a song that can be moodier than the previous single "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall". The song presents a heartwarming melody from strings and chords that is a perfect mood enhancer during the near-cold season.

The Boys by Girls Generation. The girl group from South Korea attempts to enter the world music scene with their foot-stomping and ear-catchy song written by Teddy Riley. The Boys instantly received an "all-kill" to all music charts in Korea after it was released last October 19. Also, they managed to have a spot on iTunes Chart along with other big icons in the music industry at present.

What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction. The accidental British boy band who finished third on the seventh season of The X- Factor in UK released their debut single like hot pancakes. It became the fastest selling single in UK and Ireland this year. According to the members, this song kind of represent their group - boys that weren't that cheesy yet fun to be with.

Criminal by Britney Spears. The queen of pop released another single from her seventh studio album Femme Fatale. This sole ballad single from her album talks being in love with an outlaw and pleads to her mother to not worry about their relationship. This song garnered positive to mixed praises by music critics.

On to our countdown, Katy Perry clinches the top spot for this week, racing four spots from last week's number five. On the other hand, Simple Plan falls five spots after spending two non-consecutive weeks at number one. Super Junior attempts to have the top spot again, settling down at number two. One Direction, Girls Generation, Coldplay and Britney Spears enters gracefully at our chart this week. Kelly Clarkson manages to raise a couple of spots, while Adele, Avril Lavigne and Davichi falls significant notches in the chart this week.
